One looks like a car for a jib sheet track (top row, next to the snap shackle), but it's missing the spring loaded pin that fixes it in place on the track.

No idea about the other seven. But it looks like the eye with the notch in it would fit into the slots in the others and could be locked into place by the notch.

They look like gronicle tie-downs

Thats not right Ian. Clearly they're designed to take a padlock.
They're gronicle lockdowns

Left-handed gronicle wrenches. Still available from Davey& Co. But only curmudgeons use them. Gentlemen?

I would guess strike plates for some sort of sliding latch with an option for a padlock.

Upper right, snap shackle. Right below that, sail slides. Do I win any kind of prize?

Only the prize for not reading the initial post about which items.

No idea, but if all the parts go together, could they sandwich a piece of wood (or as above a cabinet frame) somehow?

So, anybody got any better guesses?

Just a guess but the two lower right pieces are mirror images of each other. Suppose one was let into the edge of a door and the other let into the frame. A bar could slide into the rectangular hole as a bolt and a padlock could be run through the eyes. A couple of them aren't drilled but maybe they're supposed to be? The one with the notch could be for a lifting bar type of bolt.

On the other hand, they could be something else.

The guy selling them on ebay says they are for bimini top straps but I can't make any sense of how they would work. I think he's guessing, too.

They're a similar concept to the guy who was selling dock edge rollers at the WBS. His were stainless steel and $75 per 9" roller.
I did not keep his contact info, I tried to sell them to the club I work for and was tolsd "nah we can make them ourselves". I think I'll be waiting a while.
I'd say generally the brackets are for some kind of rotating pin or roller

I'm with Dave R., used for a door, drop board, sliding hatch, etc. They could be secured with a bar or rod, or padlocks.

Or maybe the seller is correct. The ones without screw holes would just have straps on them, the others would be secured to the boat, of course. But if so, something is missing. There ought to be a way to lock the two together without a tool.

The eight items on the left are the fixed part of a thumb latch-the part that fastens on the door frame jamb. (I have them on all the doors in my house, but mine are iron)

That use occurred to me, but what are the rounded 'ears' for? Do you have photos of your door latches? I can't picture the ones shown in use that way. Is there a missing part that attaches to the 'ear hole'?

This is beginning to bother me. :D

I was too hasty in my reply, only the 2nd one from the left on the top row is fixed, the others attach to the door. The latch is restrained in the slot, and when the door is closed ,hooks in the notch on the fixed piece on the frame. I assume the circular hole accomodates a padlock. Some day I'll learn how to post pictures.

I can see how that would work now. Thanks.
