WBS Scholarship fund

Last year Russ Manheimer and I had a friendly wager going on regarding the likelyhood that a certain other forumite would actually be at the Small Reach Regatta as stated.....This year. Given that he had over a year to get there, and was moored only a few days sail away, it seemed likely that I would lose the wager.
The wager was $50 to be donated to the Woodenboat School to assist a financially strapped student.
As a thoughtful and kindhearted individual, the loser has asked me (the triumphant victor! :D), to extend an offer to the rest of you to join him in creating a more substantial fund.
I'm not exactly sure how such a fund would be set up, but I'm sure that someone here knows the ins and outs of that....
We'll also need a name for the fund....... Perhaps "The bacon fund".... ;)

Sounds like an excellent idea. Help a student "bring home the bacon", as it were... The WBF WBS Bacon fund... Has a certain ring to it...
