Here's a story for metalheads too:
When Motorhead finally came to Seattle, Lemmy wouldnt go on since the small venue he was playing at had such small security guys; they had canceled so many shows over the years that they decided to play a small venue since they figured the true fans would make their way in some how, rather than play the normal huge venue. Anyways, a friend of mine who was the sound guy told me about the problem out in the Motorhead bus. So me and a really big friend of mine escorted Lemmy through the throngs all the way to the stage. Actually my friend escorted me and Lemmy while Lemmy and I talked about WWII German artillery of all things. Afterwards Lemmy would not even let the other band that was a local Satan worshipping chick band on the bus. His manager wouldnt let us on until Lemmy saw me. We spent the rest of the night getting hammered with the band, their manager and their long time sound man. They notoriously never sign autographs but Lemmy personally got unused tickets for that show and had everyone sign them for me. I asked if it would be all right to have their long time sound guy sign it too. Motorhead was stoked that I would ask such a thing and the sound guy was sheepish but happy to do so. We really hit it off with the whole gang. And they were all pushing for us to ride with them on to Portland the next day. Unfortunatly we both had unbreakable commitments. I'd classify that evening as "Intelligent intoxification". We got plenty drunk, but talked world history and everything else other than what you would expect the "loudest band in Rock and Roll" to talk about. DAN |

"We're Mötörhead, and we play rock and roll." So glad I got to see them this summer, even if I did get drunk and fall off my bike and get my face slapped by a pretty girl. 4.5"x49 inch long? What the heck would you do with a piece of stock like that? Superportable black-powder mountain howitzer?

Yeah they have been awesome concerts, actually as far as 'rock' concerts go they're pretty much the best concerts I've ever been to.
