I am looking for the design of the Norberg sailboat.
My family owned one back in the 60's in
southern Ontario.
Does anyone know where or how a plan for this
type of sailboat could be obtained? It was about 14 feet in length and had an Egyptian
cotton sail.
Thanks!

Ted: I sailed Nordbergs (which I think is the correct spelling) in Toronto as a junior in the early sixties. There were enough of them to hold class races in the local regattas. I even remember a few glass ones showing up before the class withered out sometime in the late sixties. I have searched through my files and done a few internet checks but beyond one passing reference, found nothing.
I remember them as being a little "tubby" for the lakes as compared to Albacores, Enterprises, Wayfarers, etc. that I sailed. They were, however, probably very seaworthy for the purposes of their Scandinavian designers. I briefly took one out in a full gale in Toronto harbour and lived to tell about it.
Sorry I can't give you more, but perhaps reviving this topic will twig a few more memories out there.
