Can anyone suggest a website containing collections of photos of traditional wooden boats?

Try this one:
http://www.cppyacht.com/wood.html

Note the little revolving stars in the leftmost column and click one. Check out the big 'uns towards the bottom of the list.

They advertise in WB, but the full particulars of each boat, sailplan, accommodations, photos, and so on, are all there on the web page.

As good as looking at some of John B's threads.

One of my new favorties is a French site at http://www.douarnenez2000.com
They have a gallery with 1800's luggers etc, and links to what I think is most of the historic French boat organization sites.
If you use your favorite search engine and the key word "douarnenez" you will find much more, including the sites for earlier years events and music festivals, etc. Douarnenez must be the Aspen of Brittany.

wow, thanks Q.
You're welcome to look at the album I've been putting all the posted photo's in.
Mostly just the Waione , but a few other special interest yachts and bits and pieces ,as well. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Album...7037&a=9296207

John B, Your photos are great. Thanks for posting.

As far as the number of hits, 700 would indicate that this forum is visited by a alot of folks who just lurk and don't register. Or could be that the counter is located in the State of Florida .....
