A small group of likeminded 'want to be amateur boatbuilders' are considering hiring an instructor to come to Naramata, BC,(Okanagan Valley) Canada to give a one week workshop; perhaps a canoe, or dinghy or...? Has anyone tried this concept, and if so did it work well and how much was the instructor paid? etc.

Simon Watts, from San Fran & Noa Scotia used to do exactly that kind of thing. There was an article about him in WB in the mid 80's. I don't know if he still does but I'll bet the good folks at WB know. They may also have an alternate list. Rick
