Kinsale or Crosshaven or vicinity, anyone?

I have a 26 year old daughter who is moving to the Cork area in connection with her work (running a call center for a U.S.company).

I haven't been to Kinsale for a while, but I like the harbor (and one or two of the pubs).
However, it is my impression that housing prices there have really shot up.

The yacht club is of course at Crosshaven, but that area too is likely no bargain by now.

Any towns by the water within a reasonable commute of Cork that you would recommend?
What's around Drake's Pool nowdays?

She's good at rowing and has done some sailing and motorboating, too. I'll appreciate any information or thoughts.
