Can any one tell me where I can get 5 ft wide sheets of mahagany marine plywood ?

Non-standard widths and lengths are outrageously expensive, even where obtainable, and are usually just factory scarfed standard pieces. So scarf 'em up yourself. There are all sorts of slick gizmos people use, but honestly, it's hard to beat a nice long plane with a really sharp blade. Somewhere in WoodenBoat articles is info on scarfing - how to get the sheets aligned etc, but if you want, e-mail me & I'll share what I know. G'luck.

I believe that McEwen Lumber stock 5x10 in 1/4" and perhaps in other tickness too.

I dont have thier #, but they are located in Raleigh, NC.

I believe that McEwen Lumber stock 5x10 in 1/4" and perhaps in other tickness too.

I dont have thier #, but they are located in Raleigh, NC.

I was in Compton Lumber in Seattle the other day and saw a pretty good selection of 5x10 mahogany and MDO, so we know it'sout there- I'll bet there's some closer to you though.

I was in Compton Lumber in Seattle the other day and saw a pretty good selection of 5x10 mahogany and MDO, so we know it'sout there- I'll bet there's some closer to you though.

Harbor Sales in Baltimore stocks 5x10's. They have several distributors, you have to look in their ad. Expect to pay substantially more for the 5' widths.

Edensaw has 5x10 Okoume. Flounder Bay has 5x10 Sapele. Harbor sales has Sapele also (less cost than Flounder). Good luck, I spent most of yesterday afternoon calling and figuring. When you say Mahogany, that is a broad term. All of the above mentioned woods are considered Mahogany. If you find a deal, LET ME KNOW!

Edensaw has 5x10 Okoume. Flounder Bay has 5x10 Sapele. Harbor sales has Sapele also (less cost than Flounder). Good luck, I spent most of yesterday afternoon calling and figuring. Mike Hubbard down the creek from me deals with McEwen out of Charleston (200 miles) while Raleigh is 100 miles.
