Not trying to give you a hard time, but did you bring it by the Mutual station at the intersection by the Dunkin Doughnuts on Rt 53 in Hingham back in 71 or so? This was a tuition-money job; on my last day I kept the gas caps from all those who didn't say please and thank you. Had an oil case box about 1/2 full of caps by the time I was done. My cohorts didn't quite know what to say.
I guess it was kind of fun when one of my "victims" came back, all po'd, wanting their gas cap back. Whoever was on would just bring out the box and tell the person to pick out the one that belonged to their car...

also not trying to give you a hard time but there are more places to search than there is space here to list them. there are numerous antique parts dealers across the country. shows clubs etc.(or as I like to say ect.)good luck

You might also try Scripps Marine: http://www.chris-craft-parts.com/parts.htm By the way, if you find a gas cap for an '86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer sitting on top of a gas pump in Hays, Kansas it's mine.

...And by the way, if you want to know more about the history of your particular Chris Craft contact the Mariners' Museum: http://www.mariner.org/chriscraft/ they have all of CC's old records on file, and for a small fee they'll xerox the original factory check-sheet on your boat--when it was built, what its original specs were, and where and to whom it was sold.
Also, I was able to get a xerox of the engine manual and parts list for my '60 Cavalier from: Duby Marine 254 Sweeney Street N. Tonawanda, NY 14120 716 694-0922
