Yep, good move, Scot, although Norm's belly button lint is already showing. Wooden boats forever; now, does that make this legal?

Amen!

BTW what are the "rules" here?
When does a subject belong in the "other" MISC section?

Do naval and sea rescue stuff belong here for instance?

Or just stuff wooden?

Brian I'm going to assume if it is boat releated and don't fit in the other 3 it goes here. Navel and sea rescues certainly belong here (although I can't imagine my navel getting in enough trouble to warrent rescuing). I also think that building updates should be here and Building should be left for building questions.

READ THRU ALL THE THIS....nuthin' here I can read about MISCELANEOUS RELATED BOAT STUFF...NUTHIN!.....lets get on with it!

MISC BOAT RELATED QUESTION: With all the news about ice melting everywhere..and now Kilamajaro!..150 foot thick ice to melt in the next 20 years after being there for thousands of years!...any guesses on what year/month Noah's Ark will finally be revealed in all its glory? There may be a reward for the winner here..

Belly lint can be annoying.....Scot can you reverse the Misc listing order..and maybe put the unrelated section way down the bottom?

THAAAANNNKS A WHOLE BOOOOOAT LOAD!!!!SCOT!!!!! (8 limit)

Scot: Thanks for hearing the voices (and not freaking out!) I was actually going to suggest something similar; AVSIG does this with their HOT SECTION. So I think this will help if by nothing else shunting the touchy topics off into their own padded room. And if folks get out of hand, warn them and then shut them out for a week! David

Yes, thanks a bunch. We may have to modify it again to also read, Non-boat related and the "As the World Turns" according to Dingo, translated by who knows when he returns. It may turn into the first edition of his new book if we work it just right.

I think this fits the new catagory with this international forum.

I was gonna suggest bilge water for that other section but I guess that would be a bit boat related.

Thank you Scot, now I don't need to take a shower after wading through the Misc. section. It was getting pretty deep and ripe over there..

Thanks again for reversing the two...somehow it looks, feels much better...

Unhappy

So now there are six sections and I can ignore the sixth. ??.

Bogus!

Wrong solution! I don't mean to be contrarian, seeing as the problem was very few members were flooding the forum with nonsense, angry responses.

I'm a little ashamed by this.

Open discourse never destroyed anything.

Thanks Scot

Best outcome in the circumstances. The retention of a separate 'Misc-non boat related' gives the opportunity for a a bit of a browse thru the mindset of an interesting group of people. For a non - american it provide an insight to how you do (or don't) think, ranging from the wise, erudite and humourous to the far less wise, less erudite and unfunny.

Posters, please keep it polite.

But...but...hey! Hold on a second. Where does all this change leave King Funky Chicken, the ruler of Miscellaneous? Is he now to rule over the Two Kingdoms? Or just one; in which case, which one? I don't believe he was even consulted about the shakeup. He must have learned about it through the grapevine, since in his last presentation by Memphis Mike he seems to have increased the energy of his dance (if that's what it is). These are weighty questions that must be addressed. Remember, the book guy, the little green monster and various trolls are waiting in the wings, and some difficult decisions may be upon us before we know it.

I was wondering if bellybuttonlint can be used to substitute for calking cotton in a pinch.

Naval lint clearly belongs in this section, bellybutton lint discussions belong in the other. In either case, save that stuff. You can have a fine sweater knitted to snuggle with this Winter.
