NO reflection on you Jack but, that last article is one sweet bit of ***artistic license***.
No mention of his role in the OSS or in the movie King of the Gypsies or his novel, one of my favourites, VOYAGE , or the causes he supported ie: a 'few bucks' for the WANDERBIRD or the erstwhile boat builder or two or three or four, he gave survival work to. Nah, I take much of what I read in the 'popular press' with a huge grain of asprin, ya folla?
