I came across this photo of fly-fishing boats participating in the World Cup on Lough Mask, Ireland. Does anyone know if these boats have a distinct name and if any designer has offered plans for them. I saw other photos elsewhere where anglers were using oars without outboard. Some versions may have sails..but this I'm not sure about. Here is the link to the photo.

I did happen on what I believe are fiberglass versions offered by Burke & sons of Ireland..the family built these for 120 years so I guess they were all wood at one time. They are very nice designs!
I wonder if they are akin to the Lough Foyne sailing punts? http://burkeboats.com/pages/boatdetails.php?code=67
