How was your weather helm there with full sail in that wind? Woulda been nice out here Halloween, but Sunday was perfect. And you're right about Fall sailing.

Joe:
Enjoy your videos, but the only question I have is....Do you wear a PFD? That water will be mighty cold. KG

A pfd doesnt keep you warm in cold water.

No, current water temp is warmer than the air temp. I have several on board but havent felt the need to put one on yet. When sailing with Tess or any of her friends PDF are always worn, even though she hates the look of it. |

I just thought because you sail alone often, that you would use the PFD. The water may be comparatively warm, but still will sap you of your energy rather quickly, thereby making swimming difficult. The strong tide/current in the Hudsons would be a factor in my decision too. The automatic inflatables are comfortable and easy to put on. Hardly know they are there.
Glad to hear that they are worn with the young one on the boat. My g'kids have them on whenever they are on the Beetle or any other one of the boats. Take care out there on the water. KG

Nice video. Thanks. My boat is in for the winter (sigh) so it's really great to see others still out enjoying the water in a lovely old boat.

Thank you, Joe, for the video. I always enjoy your adventures on Tidbit, and am very jealous of your skill with your camera, which I think is a Flip Video camera, right?
Again thanks.
