Dutch National Class: Valk 501
The Valk (Falcon) is sloop rigged with a gaff and carries a mainsail (12m²), genoa (6,5m²) and spinnaker (14.5m²). 800 Boats were built and registered.
The design is by famous Dutch designer EC van de Stadt in 1939. The boat was commissioned, and first 200 built, by the dutch company Bruynzeel to demonstrate the capabilities of their newly marine plywood.
