Narooma Boats Afloat Festival
The Seventh Narooma Boats Afloat Festival will be a weekend of fun! Good camaraderie, wonderful boats, Friday welcome bbq, Saturday cruise, then a jazz band and a stickybeak session for Saturday afternoon… an awesomely delicious Saturday night dinner and Ravin’ Craven’s incredible auction… and hundreds of onlookers turned out to watch our “Grand Parade” along Narooma’s pristine Wagonga Inlet under the bridge and along the boardwalk and a fantastic farewell bbq and a diehards’ cruise…
Listen for the famous steam whistle of Cronulla’s “Choof ‘n Puff” during the weekend, and be sure to come down to Forsters Bay on Saturday afternoon between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to meet the skippers, check the boats, hear the motors, and see them in action.
All this against the wonderful background of live “Jazz On The Water” from the local band Second Time Around.
On Sunday, everyone can catch the boats at 11 a.m. for the famous Grand Parade down the inlet channel to the Mill Bay Boardwalk where the noise, the colours, and even the smells will delight the senses as the boats parade for around 30 minutes or so
