Celebrate 100 Years of Maritime Aviation

-

On August 1, 1912, Alfred Cunningham took off from the middle of Marblehead harbor in a Burgess seaplane and inaugurated America’s liftoff into marine aviation. This centennial celebration will include helicopter landings and a parade through town. There will also be a special exhibit of artifacts and photos
relating to Starling Burgess at the Hooper Mansion (Marblehead Arts Association).
