Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 vocational wooden boatbuilding school teaching both traditional and contemporary wooden boatbuilding methods. Our programs include 9 month diplomas and 12 month Associate Degrees of Ocupational Studies in Traditional Small Craft Construction, Traditional Large Craft Construction, and Contemporary Wooden Boatbuilding. We also offer a 3 month Certificate program in Comprehensive Sailmaking and Rigging and offer workshops in boat building, sailmaking, rigging, welding, blacksmithing, and many other marine topics. We are located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington State on Port Townsend Bay, next to the wooden boat capital of the West Coast, Port Townsend.
