“Atea” is a solid, double-planked kauri wood, 40′ auxiliary Bermudan ketch, built in 1938 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Designed by John G. Alden, the Auckland-to-Suva and Whangarei-to-Noumea race veteran has been surveyed and insured every five years by the current owners of over 32 years. She is located on Vancouver Island.
