Spaulding Wooden Boat Center - Youth Apprentice Boatbuilding Program

In keeping with Myron Spaulding’s integration of boat design and sailing, today Spaulding Wooden Boat Center’s Youth Boatbuilding & Sailing program provides middle and high school youth with a personal growth experience in the context of wooden boat craftsmanship, sailing, seamanship, and environmental stewardship.

Our curriculum is taught with an approach that is experiential and student-centered. Rather than employing lectures and clinics, all lessons are integrated into hands-on building and sailing experiences.

Our skilled volunteer instructors are a unique group of educators and boat builders.
