WoodenBoat Videos — Mission Statement
Welcome to WoodenBoat Videos, our community of videos for the WoodenBoat world.
We encourage you to view what others have posted about their wooden boats, or other wooden boat-related items.
And we encourage you to post your own videos, for others to view and comment upon.
There is NO FEE to participate in any of these features except for the “Advertising” section. If you are a boatyard and wish to highlight your work, please do so under the appropriate heading. If we determine that your video(s) are advertisements, we will notify you to that effect prior to approving them.
If you want to submit your video(s) for posting, you will need to complete a simple registration form. We will never share this information with any third parties for commercial use. (Please see our Privacy Statement.)
And please restrict your videos to boats made of wood in their hull material.
A few notes on uploading your videos:
- Once you upload your video, we will examine it prior to approval and posting.
- Your videos can be no longer than three (3) minutes in duration.
- Acceptable file formats are Quicktime, AVI, 3G, h.264, MPEG2, and MPEG4. File formats of any other type will not upload properly, and won’t be approved. Source videos should be the highest-resolution possible, using minimal or no compression. Uncompressed or mildly compressed production codecs (DV, HDV, DVCPRO, etc) are recommended. video compressed for Web delivery will yield lower quality results.
