26th Annual Chris-Craft Rendezvous of the Pacific Northwest

-

The five day 26th Annual Chris-Craft Rendezvous will open a day early on Wednesday July 8th 2014! We are expecting that the low price of fuel will bring more boats to our event, and early arrivals are welcome!

The historic town of Port Orchard, Washington will open its City Marina for the exclusive moorage of more than 80 Chris-Crafts of various makes, models and levels of restoration. This is the largest gathering of these classic boats in the world. The event encourages owners of Chris-Crafts to bring their boats in whatever state of restoration they are in. “We do like to see the boot stripe above the waterline”, said Mike Monda who is the Chairman of the event.

The events on the docks are free to the public and hundreds of fans of the classic wooden boats will attend. Many boats will be open for boarding and many owners will be present aboard their boats with stories and history of their Chris-Crafts. There will be Chris-Crafts from the 1930’s to the present. The event features live music on the docks, raffle drawings through out each day, demonstrations, a swap meet, coffee and doughnuts every morning. On Saturday the Dinghy Dash will delight the crowd as it did last year. It is a human powered drag race for “Hard Bottom and Soft Bottomed Dinghies and Skiffs of All Kinds”. A Saturday Farmers Market, more fun on the docks and an Awards Banquet and Live Auction for participants will fill out Saturday’s event schedule. Awards will be given for People’s choice for wood and fiberglass and there will be an award for most improved.

On Sunday the informal parade out of the marina is a showcase of mahogany and chrome. These timeless motor crafts represent over eight decades of being America’s most popular motor yacht.
