Built in Seattle in 1934 by the Blanchard Boat Company, Amazon was re-launched on July 3rd 2018. The boat has just undergone an extensive four year rebuild including a new stem, transom, decks, the replacement of several frames and planks, and a refasten.
This boat was designed and built by Robert Wallace between October 2001 and May 2002. He launched her in May on White Oak Pond in northeastern Pennsylvania. The skiff has a 10' LOA and maximum beam of 39". She is a semi-V hull.
On 8/13/2016, Suzanne Nye launched her Bjorn Thomasson Design Frej kayak in Fleming Island, Florida. Her husband Mark, built the kayak using western red/Alaskan yellow cedar strips for the hull/deck and sapelle plywood for the cockpit coaming and bulkheads.
Paul Cartier bought his 1962 Chris-Craft Sea Skiff for "what the trailer as worth. The boat had mostly good bones but was cosmetically in very rough shape.

In 2014 and 2015 Nanette Jockin and Jan Sepp built “Houtje”, a Wabnaki canoe in their summer cottage in Loosdrecht, the Netherlands.
Bruce Porter bought the plans for this Simmons Sea Skiff from the Cape Fear Museum in North Carolina. He used marine mahogany plywood over white cedar frames, and added gunwales made of white ash and Douglas-fir.
The Swan is a CLC Light Craft “Wood Duckling 8” built over a two week period by 9 year-old McKenzie Kaufman and her grandfather Charles McParland of Tega Cay, SC. She was launched on August 6th on Lake Wylie in South Carolina.
