Built by Russ Sabia of Belmont, Massachusetts and donated to the 7 Lakes Alliance in Belgrade Lakes, Maine to help raise funds to support their land and water conservation efforts around the Belgrade Lakes.This solo canoe is 11′6″ with a 2′4″ beam and took approximately 120 hours to build.
Ben David bought a set of plans for the Redwing 18 from Karl Stambaugh. He built the 18′ 6″ boat from marine plywood, glued and screwed, covered with fiberglas, and then gelcoat. Ben launched her in July 2011 and moors her at Jeddore Harbour in Nova Scotia, Canada.

In July 2003, Rob Douwes launched his 17'6" Gentlemen's Runabout KNOCKABOUT on Lake Westeinder, Aalsmeer, in the Netherlands. The plans (#76 from WB), by Hacker and Zimmer, call for a 16' hull, but Rob extended the boat's length by spreading the frames apart just a little bit.
Charles Rideout named this Joel White–designed Nutshell pram after his late son, calling her ALLAN'S AMERICA. In his letter, he said he received his plans from WoodenBoat Store on the same day he heard of Joel White's death.
The Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding, located in Port Hadlock, Washington, launched this Nordlund skiff in December last year. Built by instructor Ben Kahn’s 2013 Basic Boatbuilding Class, it is 11′ long, and weighs just over 100 pounds.
Hoiin Jung from Korea wrote to tell about his launch of a new Pelicano 18, designed by Sam Devlin. His father named it MY WAY 18 after one of his favorite Frank Sinatra songs. They built the boat from mahogany plywood, and made the deck and cockpit sole from Nu-Teak.
My 1954 Edwin Monk designed, Popular Mechanics,15 foot Knockabout, in the water again after extensive restoration, her name Cap'n Ellery after Artist, author, fisherman, and my hero Ellery Thompson 1899-1986.
Rick Granger built this Chesapeake Light Craft Wood Duck 10 over six weeks in the winter of 2010-2011. The 10' hull weighs just 34 pounds and is made from 3mm okoume plywood, with a deck of western red and white cedar strips.
