Kelsey Johnson built “Knute” over the course of a year and a half. Carpenter by trade and a first time boat builder. It was made of white oak for the frames, mahogany for comings and trim, marine grade plywood for hull. This is a Glen L15 design. The mast and boom is douglas fir.
Launched my Chesapeake Light Craft Peeler Skiff. Two and one half year build and loved every minute of it.
Chris Bell lives on the south coast of New South Wales, Australia, where he enjoys sailing in MINNIE THE MOOCHER, a 14′11″ canoe yawl. MINNIE is a Lillie design by Paul Fisher that is similar to his Ethel canoe yawl design and to boats that Lord Robert Baden-Powell built for the Boy Scouts.

This Didi 23 was built over the course of 2 years and 4 months. She was launched in October of 2022. She has a couple of modifications from the original design. First, I added a sugar scoop transom, extending her length by 20 inches.
Bob Chaput and Dick Dowdell built this Peeler Skiff from a John Harris-designed Chesapeake Light Craft kit. She will carry children and grand children fishing and digging clams in the salt waters of Southern New England.
Jeff Spira of Spira International wrote in to say that, “Mike Spiridonov just completed this 7′6″ pram to fish the many lakes he has up in his neighborhood. It was built using the stitch-and-glue technique [with] 1/4″ plywood, somewhat thicker than the plans originally called for.
The Boy Scouts of Camp Wah Tut Ca in Northwood, New Hampshire just launched a new sailing surf dory built by Graham McKay of Lowell’s Boat Shop in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Modified from Lowell's standard surf dory design, the 27′ x 7′ ketch will also serve as a pulling boat.
