Carol Knickman took an off-site WoodenBoat class in the fall of 2012.
This is a Phil Bolger designed catboat. I bought Dynamite Payson’s book, “Build the instant Catboat”. It only took 14 years....with the help of my daughter. I had an old Beetle cat rig that I modified for the boat. Good to finally get it wet.
John Zimmerlee created the VERSATILE CAT as a stable personal craft for fishing, birdwatching, or even paintball contests. She is very stable, being constructed of polystyrene foam glued to plywood. VERSATILE CAT has a 7' length and 5' beam, with two trolling motors for propulsion.
Marshwiggle, a Dave Gentry designed Chuckanut 15 kayak. Marine ply and cedar, with polyester skin.
Flossie is, essentially, a New Haven Sharpie. She has been modified for use as a canal boat. 49' loa 11.5' beam 2.5' draft 16,500 disp.. Her chines have been truncated to provide a flat surface lying alongside a straight bank.
Gary Knox writes "A flea market 'find' with five plus coats of 'Camp Green' paint; Gary and friends stripped and sanded down this pre-WWII cedar on oak classic. It revealed a solid mahogany transom, which was hand-planed down for a clear finish.
Jack Fesenmeyer designed this 7' 6" rowing and sailing tender, built by owners Jerry and Scott Le Cocq in May and June of 2002. They have used her in the Pacific Northwest and Chesapeake Bay.
THE EMERALD is a Six-Hour canoe built by Roger Kofler of Jennings Lodge, Oregon. Roger followed plans in WoodenBoat No.
Violet Humphrys has had many sweet dreams while sleeping in her new cradle boat, SWEET DREAMS, built by her grandfather, Doug Roberts.
Built by Richard Cottreau. Heavily constructed. 60-hp Honda, very low hours.
