My friend Will Craig rebuilt RETREAD using Okoume plywood. I bought her in 1988, sailed her for 18 years, then sold her in 2005 to pay for a bicycle tour. Last year, I bought her back and restored her over the winter.

In the summer of 2008, David M Jones of Suwanee Georgia was given a 1957 Speedicraft designed by Otis Borum of Jacksonville Florida. The Honey Bee’s deck, transom and 25 percent of her hull were rotten. Dave approached his Father, Morris A.

At just 39 pounds, this canoe is designed for easy portages in Derek Coleman's home waters of Killarney Park, Ontario. Derek designed an asymmetric hull with an adjustable, removable seat and nicely decorated bow stern decks.
James Gowen and his family launched this Catspaw Dinghy, BLUE LOBSTER, in their family pool at their home in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. BLUE LOBSTER was designed by Joel White, and is 12'8" long, with a 4'6" beam. James planked the hull with white cedar on oak frames.
This boat was built to use in the sounds and inland waters of eastern North Carolina. Framing is douglas fir, with marine plywood planking for the hull. Two layers of 10oz fiberglass cloth were added to the hull for strength and durability. Powered by a Yahama 90hp two stroke.
My boat is a “couch boat” which is the only description I could think of since I designed it for comfortable seating and aesthetic Italian curvy lines.
Pease Boat Works in Chatham, Massachusetts, recently designed and launched this 17′6″ × 5′7″ center-console Mill Pond skiff. The hull is built from marine plywood, fir, and angelique, covered with a layer of fiberglass and epoxy.
