Richard Hudak, of Hilo, Hawaii, built this gleaming canoe from sugi cedar. He cut the tree down and milled the wood himself. He made the paddle from koa wood. This photograph was taken on New Year's Eve at Reeds Bay on the Big Island in Hawaii.

Paul Newman of Melbourne, Australia, just built a Wood Duck 12 Kayak from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit. He spent about 12 months on the stitch-and-glue plywood construction. The finished 12' boat weighs just 40 lbs. Paul will paddle his Wood Duck on the many waterways of his state of Victoria.
This is my CLC Shearwater Sport Hybrid. Believe it or not this is the first thing that I have ever built from wood. It took me a little over 2 years to build. Built in an unheated building and working with epoxy in Buffalo gives you less that 6 months to work per year.
Paul Edgar sent these pictures of his recently launched MINOQUA, a 22′ Princess sharpie from B & B Yacht Designs.
Jason Perkins teaches a boatbuilding class at Kingswood High School in Wolfeboro, NH and built this 16' E.M. White-designed White Water canoe with his class.

My friend Will Craig rebuilt RETREAD using Okoume plywood. I bought her in 1988, sailed her for 18 years, then sold her in 2005 to pay for a bicycle tour. Last year, I bought her back and restored her over the winter.
MORNING WOOD is a Chester Yawl I built from a Chesapeake Light Craft kit (CLC). She was slow in the making as I acquired the Whitehall kit in 2007. The box followed me through several moves and I started working on her in 2014, a few hours here and there, schedule permitting.
