Juniper
13 year old Hannah Dumser of Davidson, North Carolina and her dad Jim finished and launched their Jericho Bay Skiff (WB No. 210, 211) named Juniper. Built out of Atlantic White Cedar and trimmed in Okoume.
Goldfish
8′ General purpose stitch and glue kayak made of 2 sheets of plywood. The boat weighs 30lb, very easy to transport. Plans are available at www.plyboat.com
ZIP
ZIP is a 1953 Alcort Sunfish, built in Waterbury, CT, the 13th Sunfish from the first pre production batch of 20 boats. Alex Bryan and Cortlandt Heyniger (ALCORT) built these boats and gave them to friends and family to see if they would like the cockpit and wider beam.
ALEX-ELECTRA
After 13 years of part-time building, Bob Cosler, of Pasadena, Maryland launched ALEX-ELECTRA in July 2021. Built from Berkeley Engineering plans for the Candu EZ tug she is powered by a 10 hp golf cart motor running from six, 6 -volt Trojan batteries.
Brittany-Jade
We launched our Penobscot 14 after Just under two years build time. All plywood is Hoop Pine. The stem, stringers, transom, and thwarts are all Tasmanian Blackwood, with the rest a mix of other Australian hardwoods.
Launched in Canberra and it rows like a dream.
SCOOTER
Bob Abramson, Instructor for the Stonington [CT] Village Improvement Association writes "Every summer after school closes, the Stonington Village Improvement Association sponsors its annual Build-A-Boat program for local boys and girls, ages 8 to 13. There is no charge to the participants.
SWEET PEA
Paul Rowe built SWEET PEA from Chris Kulczyki's Sassafras 16 design in his book The Canoe Shop. SWEET PEA is 15'5" long with 36" beam. Paul launched her on Dec 2, 2001 in Stuart, Florida. The hull is glue-and-stitch construction using 6mm Brunzel plywood. The canoe weighs 62 pounds.
WINNIE
Rob Hess launched this Cosine Wherry designed by John Hartsock on June 30, 2002. He rows and motors WINNIE around the waters of Webster, NY.
ROWBOAT
This boat was designed and built by Robert Wallace between October 2001 and May 2002. He launched her in May on White Oak Pond in northeastern Pennsylvania. The skiff has a 10' LOA and maximum beam of 39". She is a semi-V hull.
