Auxiliary Cruiser "Loudoun"

The separation of the two cabins and the high bulwark, allows for the full use of the deck in complete safety. The aft cabin with a 6′6″ headroom is the pilot house which also contains a small galley, a settee, and on the aft end, the head. All the windows in the pilot house can open and have screens. The sliding doors are mounted on wheels. The double windshield can crank out to allow good ventilation when needed. The cabin in front contains two berths and storage space. This cabin also has a crank operated opening skylight and four fixed ports. The entrance of the cabin is through a booby hatch. It’s very practical since even when open the rain won’t wet the berth down below. The small sail area is perfect for tempering the rolling or a good breeze can be of some help to save fuel. The mast is mounted on a tabernacle, making the raising and lowering of the mast easier. The boom can be used to put an awning, making the deck a comfortable place.
