New York 32

The NY 32 was a realization of a design with an objective to build a racer/cruiser with good all around form, guided by the lines of Dorade, Stormy Weather and Edlu, and emphasizing seaworthiness rather than around-the-mark agility. The boats were built of oak frames, heavy Philippine mahogany planking, low deckhouse and 1,000 pounds of lead ballast. The NY 32s have stood the test of time with two-thirds of the original fleet still sailing and remains competitive.
