“LYDIA” 44′ EDSON I. SCHOCK 1956. This classic cutter was designed by Edson I. Schock and built to very good standards by Chapman Boat Works in Southern California. Launched as “BARBAREÑA”, this clipper-bow cutter was renamed “LYDIA” under Captain Carl Bowman’s ownership. For several years “LYDIA” came under the care of the San Diego Maritime Museum Association before being purchased in 2000 by the experienced sailors and circumnavigators who are her current owners. “LYDIA” has since been structurally and cosmetically restored: her mast and rigging were replaced in 2006; her bow and stem rebuilt in 2010; and, in 2017, all standing rigging is new. She is actively sailed and occasionally raced in the San Francisco Bay Master Mariners’ Regatta. She was awarded the June 2012 Stone Cup “Best Restored Yacht” at the MMBA Wooden Boat Show. “LYDIA” is well cared for and fit for her current service of recreational sailing on San Francisco Bay. Asking: $65,000. Contact TOM CORKETT, information is below.
