Owner medical issues forces sale of “CZARINA”, a 27′ ketch rigged day-sailor, built by Covey Island Boatworks for a repeat customer from the Bahamas. The boat is a composite build, designed by Laurie McGowan, with craftsmanship and detail a true yachtsman can appreciate. “CZARINA” was featured in numerous publications such as Soundings. Her original equipment included an electric motor that has since been replaced with a Universal 21-hp diesel. She's fitted with a swing keel with draft of from 3′1″-6′. “CZARINA” is powerful with 467 sq ft of sail and apart from fiberglass centerboard and trunk, construction was completed using Covey Island's tried and true wood/epoxy methods. “Therefore, an owner will have the maintenance free endurance of epoxy/glass over the nostalgic beauty of wood. Currently, “CZARINA” is in need of some brightwork varnish and topsides paint. She is seriously offered for sale and is laying in Nassau, where she was sailed from Ft Lauderdale. As always, thank you for your consideration of this fine vessel.
