36' Crocker Ketch $15,000

36' Crocker designed ketch for sale. This beautiful boat was built by Paul MacKay Stroud in 1946 in San Francisco, and remained in the Bay Area until about 25 years ago. She has actively cruised the West Coast, including Mexico and BC. Miss Crumpet is built of full-length fir planks on steam-bent oak frames. About 10 years ago she underwent an extensive refit, including fully stripping and repainting the bottom and topsides, a full refastening with #14 x 2.25" galvanized screws, sistering of 29 frames, replacement of 6 planks and sections of the toe rail, replacement of chainplates, and replacement of keel bolts. About three years ago the cockpit was rebuilt including the removal of the original fuel tanks and installation of a plastic 35 gallon tank, and replacement of framing, footwell and decking, with the installation of two cockpit lockers. Last winter engine work completed included rebuilding injectors, testing the alternator, adjusting valve clearances, and replacement of the exhaust piping and hosing. In December 2023 Miss Crumpet was hauled out for bottom paint and zinc replacement. Miss Crumpet is 36' on deck, and with her bow sprit and mizzen boom is 44' overall. The bow sprit and mizzen boom hinge so she can fit in a 36' slip.
