Amateur build of this Karl Stambaugh design, launched in 2012. Marine ply on cedar frames, bottom covered in glass cloth, epoxy resin on all hull surfaces, bronze fastened. Ash floorboards, seats for three. Marine paints on all surfaces. Carbon fiber spars. Sails professionally made (Dabbler Sails). Used trailer in good condition. Peter Duck weighs 350 pounds, with 110 square feet of sail area, so she is very responsive. Standing lug mailsail, Marconi mizzen with snotter pole. Draft is 2′ with the board down. The rig is easy to strike and set with her lug-yawl sailplan and unstayed spars. See Catbird 16 on website for Chesapeake Marine Design. Boat is in very clean condition. Price is half the cost of materials alone (not including sails and trailer) because it is time she went to a new owner. Contact Jack Brown by phone or email for digital photos and more info. Located in Blue Hill. $1,500.
