Freshwater 1992 Bolger Power Dory

“MORNING STAR” was originally designed by Phil Bolger for use in the Abacos as a family boat and a craft seaworthy enough to handle storms in the Sea of Abaco. Plans changed and she has spent her life in northern Michigan near Traverse City, always stored inside on her trailer. Over the years she has had 59 hours of use. An OMC Oceanmaster 175 provides speeds up to nearly 30mph, total reliability and the tanks provide a range of over 200 miles. Fuel consumption is around 9gph at 20 mph. Built by Freedom Boatworks, her scantlings are designed for durability and the materials/finish are the same. The aft hullsides are removable to provide easy access in & out of the water. The wiring and fuel system piping were upgraded by Van Dam Custom Boats several years ago and a drop-down bow thruster was added. She has not been in the water since then. A truly unique, well designed & built family boat. Trailerable behind a normal full-sized SUV or pick-up. She is simply more than we can easily enjoy at age 80 and feel that now it is time for her to enjoy life with a new family. Asking Price of $65,000.
