True Love is an 18′, full-keel, gaff-rigged Friendship sloop, built in Gig Harbor, WA in 1982. She is on a custom-built extruded-aluminum, double-axle trailer. She displaces thirty-five hundred pounds and the trailer is another eleven hundred. The trailer has all new running gear; new wheels, hubs and axles, new brakes and master brake, new lights and new hitch and jack. The boat has new running lights and bilge pump. with new wiring, and a new deep cycle marine battery. She also has a heavy, two-piece bronze mounting bracket for a brand new Tohatsu six hp sailpro outboard, with less than an hour's use. The hull is strip-planked, in clear sitka spruce, the deck and hatch covers are teak, mast, boom and gaff, are all sitka spruce, mahogany stern transom and bulk-heads. This is a day sailer, camp cruiser. There are two, snug berths below, on either side of the cockpit, and the cuddy cabin is large enough for a couple to get out of the weather. She is complete and ready to sail as is, but she also needs some TLC in the form of varnish on the spars and the coaming around the cockpit. The full back-bone, keel, stem and sternpost were built by professional boatwrights. The rest of the boat was then built by the original owner. I have all the documentation, and the registration for both boat and trailer are current.
