Grenada Sailing Festival United Insurance Workboat Regatta

Grenada's traditional wooden, bamboo rigged workboats race in an annual Sailing Festival regatta.
Friday, February 1, 2013 to Sunday, February 3, 2013

Sailing communities of Grenada & her sister islands of Carriacou & Petite Martinique bring their wooden, bamboo rigged workboats to Grenada’s Grand Anse Beach every year for two days of highly competitive racing, with plenty of music, food & drinks — a Festival of traditional sailing Caribbean style. The boats are locally built, using the original designs for the island’s fishing boats — handed down from one generation to the next.
