Newly built 12’ Lawton Tender row boat

Self built, original Newfound Boat Works 10’ plan extended to 12’. Extension creates greater buoyancy, and smoother tracking - a pleasure to row! Two rowing stations. Fiberglass over red and white cove and bead cedar strips. West Systems epoxy and Epifanes varnish. Ash gunwales, cherry seats.

This Lawton Yacht tender was built by Michael Strong in L’Etete New Brunswick over the winter months. She is planked with 3/8 inch cedar over ash frames, and fastened with copper rivets. Guards, wales and transom are made of white ash. With two rowing stations, she is able and seaworthy.
