We are selling our 19′ Bartender that was hand made by my wife’s father. It has been out of the water for a number of years and needs a touch of tlc but not much. Powered by a 30-hp Yamaha that has had a recent water pump and carburetor rebuild. (But it was a while ago). This boat is very capable of bay and rough water running however I never had the nerve to try this myself. My father in law is quite the avid boat builder and built this boat to the letter of the plans. Would make a great fishing boat or day bay cruiser. Looking for $15,000 or best offer.

The fact that it is still afloat today is a tribute not only to the quality of her workmanship, but to the design and materials that went into her construction. Over the last decade, her current owners have undertaken further restoration to enhance her original features. This fleet of the NY-30’s represents the first successful effort by the NYYC to establish an ongoing proprietary one-design class. They were ordered by members of the New York Yacht Club and design and built by the great Nathaniel Herreshoff & Company. The fleet became quite significant in the history of the New York Yacht Club. Their impact on the yachting world has been quite extensive and the individual history of each yacht is remarkable. One hundred years ago (this August) “TOBASCO” placed first in the NYYC racing event and again a decade later. Most recently, she participated in the Herreshoff Classic Yacht Regatta, in Bristol, RI along with two other vessels from her original fleet. Today, she is for sale and maybe not for long. 1955 Lyman. Great boat loved the memories. Bought it for my wedding and had it restored. New fuel tank last year, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel filter. The engine runs great, I decided not to paint it, but it runs great. Otherwise is completely original. It is a wooden boat so know what it is. Don't really want to let it go but need something more family friendly. Ran in the ocean for the last two owners and have not found any softness. The 20′ Lyman is very rare. The 18 footers were common back in the 50s but they only made a few of the 20s. Comes with trailer which had axles and tires replaced 2 years ago. $6,500 or best offer.
