Richard Maldonado chose the 13′ QT Rowing Skiff design by Jim Michalak (www.jimsboats.com) for his first build. He wanted to build a boat mostly from found materials, and except for the luan plywood that he purchased, everything else was recycled.

Participation is first come first served. Cost is $200 per group or family, no additional cost you.
Keep the boat you build. Limited to 4 groups. A group requires 4 people over the age of 12. Each group will assemble, shape, sand and paint their boat! The boat will be a QT Skiff, a flat bottom, plywood boat capable of holding two adults, light enough to be carried on top of a car.
