Sandy Point Boat Works Whitehall 14
This 14′ pulling boat was inspired by the Typical Whitehall Designs uses as work boats of the harbors of New York a century ago. Altered to be more of a recreational boat, you will find that pulling the oars on this boat is a delight.
Emma's Blue Canoe
Emma Grace is 8 years old. She and I built the 16-foot Chestnut Prospector in the Spring using plans from Sandy Point Boatworks. We have been enjoying it all Summer long along Florida’s Canoe Trail. This Winter we are planning to build a Glen-L 14 sailboat.
Canoe and Catspaw
Jim Brossett has been busy. He launched two boats that he built in June 2011. He built this 14′ strip canoe from cypress with cherry accents.
Barnegat Bay Antique and Classic Boat Show
The Annual ACBS Barnegat Bay Chapter Antique & Classic Boat Show slated for Sept. 14, 2013 has been cancelled due to the adverse impact of Hurricane Sandy on the show venue at Johnson Brothers Boat Works in Point Pleasant, NJ, including the New Jersey Museum of Boating and the Antique Auto Museum. The show is expected to resume in 2014 on Sept. 13.
SJOGIN
SJOGIN is a 22′ Koster boat model as far as I’ve been able to determine. Her knockabout sloop rig is common on the North Sea coast of Sweden. She was built of oak and cedar in southern New Jersey in 1962 by a retired square rigger captain.
