Our boat GRACE is an Iain Oughtred designed Auk tender. This boat is our first boat building project and came about when a friend experienced in boat building offered his assistance. With no woodworking experience we began with great trepidation.
I built this Långedragsjulle 10 in Ekami, Woodenboat Building school, Finland. The boat’s origin is from Western Sweden in early 20th century. Originally it ought to have a bermuda rig, but I wanted more simple rig for easy towing and launching.
HORNET is a 1981, 18' Hankins sailing skiff, recently relaunched by Damian Siekonic of Privateer Media Built by Charles Hankins & sons of Lavallette, New Jersey, as hull number CHS-812-M81G, HORNET has appeared in three films since being bought by Siekonic in 2000.
40′ on deck and 49′ with bow sprit, S.Y. RAVENSONG was built by Denis Brown in Ventura California and launched in 1934. Her hull is 38mm thick, single stripped plank construction of Californian Red Cedar from the giant redwood forests. Mast and spars are Canadian Oregon and Canadian Spruce.
Richard Knight built this Sassafras 14 canoe from a kit designed by CLC using 4 mm okoume planks, which resulted in a finished weight of just over 42 pounds. He found the lapstitch construction to work well, the hull easily came together straight and true.

Lunenburg handline dory — launched August 16th. I took a two-week course at The Dory Shop in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia two years back. It took some time to gather the necessary materials and build the forms and jigs. Plus, I developed the workshop as I went along.

I launched my boat July 27, 2015, I started the build on December 4, 2014. I have 814 hours in the build. The boat performs very Well. I installed a new 70 HP Yamaha 4 stroke outboard with the command link instrument package. The boat reached 29 MPH at 6200 RPM. Getting 5.4 MPG of fuel.
