HIAWATHA
I started this boat by purchasing Canoecraft by Ted Moores. I ordered the book in the mid 90’s from the Woodenboat Store as a Naval Aviator stationed in Maine. Through many duty station changes I wore out the book. Planning to start my build just as soon as I was in a place long enough to see it through. Finally, in September of 2021, I launched my work of art, 25 years in making. I’ll be paddling this Beech and Walnut rocket ship in the MR 340 this July.
