The PUCK reflects the spirit of the original class which was to create a boat used in regattas but also suitable for coastal cruising, easy to carry and inexpensive.
Construction: Glued lapstrake plywood. Alternative construction: Traditional planking, cold molded, strip plank, epoxy-fiberglass. No Lofting required. Plans include 5 sheets.

Simplicity of construction, user friendliness (both for single or double) and high performance – all of this with reasonable costs. These are the main priorities which lie at the base of the DP 14’ design and which justify the main choices made, in particular:
A series of Catamaran Houseboats/canal boats has been designed with electric propulsion.
