1934 Dodge Special Utility

This stunning 16' mahogany inboard runabout is model 202, the “Special Utility Boat.” Built in 1934, it is fitted with a 4-cylinder, 35-hp Lycoming engine. Complete with a shatterproof windshield, automotive steering, nickel silver fittings, and upholstered seat backs and cushions. The wooden hull and framing are almost totally original, and the hull was refastened about 15 years ago. The Lycoming engine (#3090) has been maintained and winterized annually. The exhaust piping was replaced in 2021. Current owner purchased from Maine Maritime Museum and was launched successfully in 2025. Boat took on some water in storm swell this season, and needs engine clean out and likely a new starter.
