DUTCHMAN'S DELIGHT

Red Davis, of King & Davis, Port Townsend, Washington designed this Norwegian pram for the Gougeon Brothers as a boat intended for plywood-epoxy construction. Gougeon still carries the plans. Jim Van Horn started this hull in 1986, and then stored the boat for 20 years. In 2006, he started working on it again, getting everything done be the sail and rigging. Jim launched the boat the next July, once he had the sail (made by Duckworks Supply) and rigging in place. Jim uses her on Sister Bay, Lake Michigan, Lake Winnebago, and Long Lake.
