Flying Dutchman NED262

1972 mahogany Van Dusseldorp FD. Spare boat for the Dutch Olympic team (Imhoff / Korver) at the Olympic Games in Kiel, Germany. She’s been actively raced till ’87 and disappeared from the radar till 2011 when she was found in the art depot of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.

According to the builder, who is in his late 70’s now, she was the first FD he built using epoxy, and the only one he tank tested at the hydrodynamic facilities at the University of Delft, the Netherlands.

During the last the last three years she’s been restored in race-ready condition, and she will compete again in the competitive Dutch FD fleet.
