A CLC Northeaster Dory. As a kit boat, there are many like it, but the build of this one is special. It was built almost completely during my toddler’s naps over the course of 18 months. And I built it almost completely solo. (I had some help with the interior fiberglass, skeg install and carrying it out of my basement).Since it was modeled after the Swampscott Dory, it was first launched at Fisherman's Beach in Swampscott, MA.Named “HIMINGLAVA” — after a mermaid from norse mythology, known for bringing calm seas and safe travels.
