Rivus

Rivus, a 16′ melonseed, was launched on August 30, 2014. She was built from Marc Barto’s WoodenBoat Store plans, glued lap construction. Her rig was designed by John Brady of Philadelphia’s Independence Seaport Museum. Since Brady’s rig was 120sf and unstayed, and Barto’s was 90sf and stayed, I overbuilt the birdsmouth mast and hoped for the best. So far she’s sailing fine and really moves. My wife made the sail from a Sailrite kit and the plans were in their database.
