When his first granddaughter was born, Todd Roberts wanted to build her an heirloom cradle. He thought a canoe cradle would be just the ticket as he could use birchbark from his land for the cradle’s hull. Todd developed his own design after researching canoes and cradle boats.
Eric Bishop designed and built this rowing dinghy, THE MISS LINDA, from 3/8″ plywood on black oak frames, fastened with copper rivets. He launched her on March 7, 2012 in Morro Bay, California. You can reach Eric at javazone@tcsn.net
Frank Bailleul launched his sea kayak CORRYVRECKAN built and designed by Sardine Boats on the Bono river, south Brittany-France. The CORRYVRECKAN is a stitch-n-glue kayak designed for tall paddlers and touring.
Dean Whitlock writes, “These two prams, 11' long on the left and 13' long on the right, were built to the same pattern by Bob Elliott’s class, ‘Building the Norwegian Pram,’ at WoodenBoat School in August 2001.
Dale Edward Smith owns this lovely Penobscot 14, designed by Arch Davis, and built at the Andaman Boatyard in Thailand. The boat is gaff-rigged and weighs about 170 pounds. Dale uses TIDAK APA-APA at his home in Singapore.
